HOW THE FORMAL PORTRAITS ARE CREATED

Each portrait is created in either Graphite Pencils, Colored Pencils or Scratchboard from your original photo.  The sharper the image, the easier it will be for me to get a true likeness of your pet, wildlife subject and of a person.  I will also accept photos taken digitally and the files can be sent to me via email or by mail on a CD.  All photos and disks will be returned to the owner with the finished portrait after receipt of final payment.

 

If you are a Florida resident and live within the Sarasota, Charlotte, Manatee and Lee County and do not have reference photos available and are still interested, I am more then happy to travel to you and take a series of photos of your subject or subjects that you would like drawn at no extra charge.

 

I also reserve the right to decline any order if the photos that are supplied are of a poor quality and unacceptable to reproduce a quality portrait.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE

Depending on my workload, the average time to complete a single portrait is 1 - 3 weeks for Graphite and Color Pencil drawings from time of receiving the photos, for Scratchboard and Pen and Ink work for a single drawing it can take from 2 - 8 weeks to complete.  Portraits with multiple poses or subjects may take slightly longer to produce.

To avoid disappointment please allow 4 - 8 weeks at peak times of the year such as Christmas, Valentines, Mother's Day, etc.

25% non refundable deposit is due prior to start of the commission, the balance is due on completion of the commission. Once paid in full the drawing will then be shipped or released to you.
